I know this is very Republican of me, but what is all the fuss about it taking 34 minutes for a death row inmate to die as opposed to 16 minutes?

When weighing all of the information, I always come back to the fact that this person KILLED someone, and has been sentenced to death. Was he interested in how long it would take his victim to die? Did he make sure he killed them in the most efficient manner available so as to not make them suffer?

I know the family is upset by the death alone, but I find it hard to get on board the extra wailing train when it is in relation to the fact that this murderer may have suffered during his own death.
