Do you think that people who NEVER shut up ever have that moment when
they are sick of hearing their own voices?

MUUAAHAAHAAHAA!!

I cannot be stopped!

see for yourself!

Those of you who know me personally, by now, wish I would shut up about The Pirate Queen and Stephanie J. Block! (It's okay...I know I have a problem...)

Anyway, about Stephanie and the show...the New York commercial is running now! So go see for yourself what all the hubbub is about! Eeeee!

Make you think?

Want to get a great idea of how self-centered and clueless Bush is? (By now you should have an idea!) Check out this interview on NPR.

What planet is he living on? How conceited and self-serving. If you had any doubts that he cares about anything except his own agenda, what do you think now? He may as well of given Louisiana the finger.

i've gone global!

I recently started tracking my blog hits just out of curiosity, and I'm proud to announce that
My Brain is now international!!

I've long suspected that my fandom reached far and wide, but now I have proof!
Here is a screen shot of my visitor map!

Yes. That IS Dublin, Ireland!!

cause for concern

I guess GW thinks we are stupid. Either that or he thinks we just like to look at the pretty picture on the television machine and never listen to what he says.

Apparently I wasn't dreaming that I heard him mention Iran a number of times in his State of the Union address last week. Canada was paying attention. They have just as much to lose if the mad cowboy starts running around the playground picking fights again.
The problem with Iran is that they seem to have their shit together and will just as soon blow us up as look at us!

Wii update

Okay, you may have read or heard about all the "silly" people who scored a Nintendo Wii over the holidays and then proceeded to either injure themselves, or something in their house while vigorously playing whatever game they bought, right? Sounds crazy, right? Injure yourself playing a video game? How lame...ludicrous...insane!

We are here to testify the old adages: "Don't knock it 'til you've tried it" and "Walk a mile in another's shoes!"

No cause for concern...we haven't injured ourselves yet, but I will admit that sore and tight muscles are being felt at this house! So far the only game that doesn't require you to stand and flail about is a surgery game! The likes of which I will need if I don't get in better shape so I can play any new games that come out! Until then, we will do our best to manage the new syndromes to be known as CarpWii Tunnel, Wiiitis, Wiitator Cuff tear, ...you get the idea.

when do we learn?

After Tuesday's State of the Union address, most of us felt like we had just been shoveled another helping of Bushit instead of a serious strategy to get our troops out of Iraq or help our domestic situation.

The best part of the address was hearing "Madame Speaker" for the first time and seeing Nancy Pelosi sitting tightly over Bush's left shoulder! Awesome!

However, one would think that with a Democratic majority, we would be able to start politely, but firmly, throwing our weight around. You know, a little show of whose boss. Instead we got ANOTHER non-binding resolution. What the freak?!!

Why do the Dems in DC think that a milk-toast non-binding resolution is going to start bringing our troops home? A smack on the wrist. A wag of the finger. They may as well just have gone home early yesterday rather than waste time conjuring up another strong suggestion.

Has anyone else figured out that Bush has every intention of doing exactly what HE wants to do and what is best for HIS agenda and buddies?

My very own Senator Nelson continued his tightrope walk down the middle, making sure he didn't hurt any feelings. I've long known that Bill Nelson is a moderate and probably would like to be a Republican, but is too far in the muck to change stream, but I voted for him anyway. I mean look at my other option:

After months of getting up early, running from store to store, waiting in the cold, enduring the "Are you serious?" looks from endless store employees and Best Buy, EB Games, Target, and Rhino...
The hunt for the elusive Nintendo Wii is OVER!
Hallelujah!

Thanks to a lowdown tip from our BFF Bren, at approximately 4:15pm today I bought the newest console from Nintendo!

Big ups, kudos and at the very least a Mellow Mushroom Pizza to our friend Bren!
Just passed my 300th post!!

(Can you believe I have stuck with this for so long? More importantly, YOU are still reading the
neurotic ramblings of a hormone riddled 40-yr-old?!)
Thanks for reading!

In all my frenzy to create the next political bumper sticker, (see previous post) I hastily forgot to include another possibility for the presidential run of 2008.

John Edwards has great potential and possibility to snag the nomination. I really like John and voted for him in the 2004 primary. He has great ideas, he is sure of his beliefs and convictions and he seems to want what is best for our country.

I also think he got a bum wrap because John Kerry didn't contest the rigged results of 2004. Could Kerry have rolled over an faster?

How great would it be to have any two of these three as our Pres and VP? Wow! Have we ever had such great choices? Have we ever had such great hope on the horizon? Not since a boy named Bill.
So which sounds better Barack/Hillary '08 or Hillary/Barack '08?
Obama/Clinton, Clinton/Obama...I can't decide. Take a look at the video announcements for each and maybe it will help.

It's just hard to figure out for me. Do I get behind the woman or another man? Do I support who I think will have a better chance/easier road to nomination or the one I feel naturally compelled naturally to support for old time's sake? One thing I do know for sure is that no matter who gets the nomination, a ticket with both names would be great no matter what order!

Let the Games Begin!

So this is how it is going to be...

Dick Morris is...well...a dick!

First of all, if you are going to bitch about a football game, get the friggin' teams right! It was Ohio State and Florida you doof!

Secondly, do you think we are so stupid and short-minded that we don't remember that the Congress that America holds in such disregard is the one that just got unseated? All of the stats you are bellowing are from the Do-Less-Than-Nothing-Congress of the last 6 years! Don't try to saddle the new current Congress, which has only been in session TWO WEEKS, with all of the nonattendance, corruption, arm-twisting, gluttony of last year's session!

How pathetic and desperate...oh that's right...Republicans
Go Gators!

Gay's Anatomy

Now I don't want to be hyper-sensitive about this, but all the hoopla over bigot Isaiah Washington is getting on my nerves. My initial reaction was "Why couldn't he just keep his big mouth shut and let things go?" My current reaction is "So glad you opened your big fat bigotty mouth again so everyone knows just how much of a homophobe you really are!"

I mean really. First of all, this shouldn't even be a topic because it should have died after he apologized the first time. However, now that he has used the term AGAIN, in front of the cast and the world, he should be fired. He not only dug up an old topic, completely deflated the big Golden Globe win for Grey's Anatomy, but he also thrust TR Knight back in to the spotlight of an embarrassing moment. Did you see TR on Ellen this week? He was truly at a loss for words and extremely embarrassed.

All I am saying is that if Isaiah had been called a particular slur, not once but twice, the offender would be out of a job. Period. You know it and I know it. But, since homophobia is the last acceptable prejudice, I bet he will remain employed and continue to bash gay people every chance he gets.
Public celebrity apologies are hard for me to accept. It just seems too easy to backpeddle.

Change is Good

Hello Everybody!
I decided to change up the blog and try out some of the new tools the new and improved Blogger has released. I'll have to say I am having a great time! Look at all the fun stuff in the sidebar!! Some of these things I have been trying to do in HTML with no success, and that is due to the fact that I have NO CLUE what I am doing in HTML! Sooo, now Blogger has made it easier for me to jazz up the site! Yeah!
Hoping to shake up the photos and links and make it a surprise for my legion of fan!

Now that the house is pretty much done, I have time to get back to ranting, raving and plain old bitching! It's good to be back!
