SPIN ALERT

It's going to be easy to jump on the "Hillary is such a bitch!" bandwagon today as the media plays this interchange over and over.
Before you make a snap judgment, take into consideration that Hillary was in the Democratic Republic of the Congo a place notorious for it's views on women and rife with sexual violence against women.

Is it any wonder Hill snapped back when a translated question, turned into what her husband, Bill, thought of the topic?

"You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?"
"My husband is not secretary of state, I am"
"If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion,"
"I am not going to be channeling my husband."

Taken out of context and forgetting the fact that the poor student's question was translated incorrectly, this interchange looks bad for Hillary to be sure, but it also feeds the Right's need to squash a strong Democratic woman. You know, not at all like the Congo....

Well, I've done it...it's official...I have contributed to my first campaign for this presidential election. And the winner is...Hillary.

OK---I'm contributing at this point to try to win a contest on her campaign site...so sue me...I love Bill Clinton! Plus it would be just another reason to be in New York!

I honestly still don't know who I am getting behind. It seems to change everyday. Who are you leaning towards?

In all my frenzy to create the next political bumper sticker, (see previous post) I hastily forgot to include another possibility for the presidential run of 2008.

John Edwards has great potential and possibility to snag the nomination. I really like John and voted for him in the 2004 primary. He has great ideas, he is sure of his beliefs and convictions and he seems to want what is best for our country.

I also think he got a bum wrap because John Kerry didn't contest the rigged results of 2004. Could Kerry have rolled over an faster?

How great would it be to have any two of these three as our Pres and VP? Wow! Have we ever had such great choices? Have we ever had such great hope on the horizon? Not since a boy named Bill.
