If the government wass trying to get rid of the stink they fell into during the Hurricane Katrina debacle, the news conference for the California wildfires was certainly not the way to do it.

In efforts, I suppose, to look like they were on top of things, FEMA called a news conference to brief us all on the events in California. Good, right? Let the people know what is going on. Give the media information so they can dispense it speedily...riiight.

This link takes you to a good rundown of how this whole thing unfolded, including the response from Bush's new mouthpiece, Dana Perino. (It always makes me a little sad when I see a woman on this bandwagon. I thought we were smarter than this.)
I think it's kind of funny that the party that relies on a fake news channel to guide their minions, is reaping the fruits of their labors as their own agency tries to pass off fake information...and got caught.

OMG!!! This is unbelievable! Did they really think they wouldn't get caught with this little scheme? Pure stupidity at work (again). This is like a situation you would see in a bad sitcom. Pathetic! bh
