Equal Time

Watching Good Morning America today really drove home the sad state of our country and how we are viewing this baseless war in Iraq.
Today the news broke that Bob Woodruff and his cameraman were injured by a roadside bomb while traveling in an Iraqi convoy. They had apparently just moved from a US armored humvee (we have one of those?) to an Iraqi tank. Both were in serious condition this morning and were undergoing surgery. I feel bad for their families.

Here is my observation. Why does it take someone famous/ popular/ rich to make the Breaking News ? Maybe if the Breaking News ticker flashed on our screens and interupted our radio programs every single time one of our soldiers was killed or injured in this insane occupation, we would be thinking a bit harder about what kind of bafoon we selected, this mess he got us into, and how fast we can get him out!
