won't be surprised to see this headline soon

President Obama Breathes, Controversy Ensues.

How insane are things going to get? At what point will the conservative base not jump on everything Obama does? I mean it is really getting ridiculous.
He's not American. He's a socialist. He supports staying in school. He wears pants. He breathes air. He has eyes. He gets haircuts. He doesn't get haircuts. He's black.....
Oh I get it.

After watching this ridiculous clip, I have one question: Has anyone checked this lady's birth certificate, because last I heard aliens from space weren't official citizens. I'm just sayin'...

This sign has nothing to do with the video clip other than it is equally as hilarious. Just had to share because, well it's funny in so many ways! This is the brain trust we are up against people!

At any given time you can tune in to this site and feel the love I have for Rachel Maddow. I mean let's be honest---she is awesome.
Last Thursday night on her MSNBC show she proved her awesomeness again by very nicely putting Pat Buchanan in his place as he had yet another case of Racist Tourette's.
Just look at how Rachel takes Uncle Pat's arm and guides him ever so gently into the venue that makes him all tingly inside: bigotry
The segment ran over 10 minutes, but honestly it is pure joy to watch and I won't even mention her adorableness, sigh.

Update on one of last week's posts:

You'll all be relieved/excited to know that the nut-job church featured in this story has no plans for taking the sign down, in fact, more will be erected featuring more button-pushing topics such as abortion and same-sex marriage. Something tells me I will be linking back to this story a lot.

Want to get good and pissed off at the Righties? Uhm yea, like you need a reason? Here is a good one. Oh, but first you may want to sit down, and have your blood pressure meds on the ready.
Pathetic.
Disgusting.
Sad.
Did I say pathetic already?

I feel sure in saying that we as a nation/people/voters/lemmings are not intellectually ready for the satire intended on The New Yorker cover this week:
I mean, we just really aren't ready, or willing to see how ridiculous this topic actually looks when posed as a real news story every day on Fox News. There are too many Americans willing to fall for the easy pile-on mentality that has become our political environment. It's not that I agree with the decision to run this cover, (Lord knows it will be used against us) I just think that it should be more obvious to the editors that we can't understand this type of humor because it makes us think.
It's just pathetic that #1 this is happening in the first place and even needs to be a topic for discussion, and #2 in that light we are STILL too dumb to realize when we are being made fun of as a whole, and instead let the ignorant words "See! He is a terrorist!" slip from our lips.

We are so fucking rich.

makes my heart swell with pride

If you are watching all the debate and caucus hoopla, and find yourself confused about for whom to cast a vote of support, please remember and feel proud that this gem is no longer a choice. Remember to pause the music on the sidebar!

Cinderella dressed in yella,went upstairs...

Most of my week blogwise has been spent trying to figure out when is the best time to enter in the game of jump rope currently happening on the campaign trail.

Just when I think I'm ready to say something, the headline changes and sometimes my mind changes. One thing that hasn't changed this week is the glaring evidence that we are just too damn focused on a candidate's religion. Jeeez! I'm so sick of reading/hearing about a candidate's faith. Good Lord! Does anyone remember the idea of separation of church and state? It seems to me that we've forgotten all about it in the last several years because the line has been completely erased. So this kind of behavior is just status quo.

If we're going to focus so much on the topic of a candidate's religion, let's keep in mind what that has gotten us in recent years. We've got a Supreme Court stacked with wingnuts, James Dobson roaming the halls of the west wing, and a president who most likely hides his coke vials in a secret compartment of his Bible, all the while hiding behind the cloak of religion. Walk the walk, big boy!

What the...?

I can't wait to hear how the conservative blowhards justify endorsing Giuliani even though he is Pro-Choice and Pro-Gay. Pat Robertson laid his crazy neck on the line today and endorsed Rudy officially.

This is going to be fun. Their choices are Giuliani & McCain. heehee

This buyout is the next step in changing our media for the worse.

Leave it to the illustrious leader of the Right Wing party to take advantage, once again, of a patriotic holiday and try to drum up support of an already failed war. I know this link is to a Fox article, but I thought it was funny how short it is and how even they mention that the crowd was by invitation and comprised of supporters. Of course.

More patience than 111+ US military suicides?

More patience than thousands wounded?

We don't count them because they don't matter.
